Came as a party of 4 on a Saturday around 11am and waited ~40 min. While there's a wait, the line moves! Some groups get picked off the line if a booth opens up for a larger party - the entire party must be present to be seated. We were escorted upstairs + seated towards the wall. Unfortunately, it was a bit hard to see some performances on the main fl, but there's a TV feed that broadcasts live and half of the time, the servers sing upstairs before moving to the main fl. As for the food - typical overpriced diner classics, but you're here for the entertainment. They cover a lot of classics from Broadway Musicals, to Disney, to pop culture songs. They also have a tip bucket, so bring some cash if you're feeling charitable! Overall, a fun time! And the wait wasn't AS long as I thought. No bathrooms while waiting, however you can go to Urban Hawker food hall nearby for emergencies!

First off, FANTASTIC breakfast burrito. I don't eat meat so when I asked for that to be removed, they were so helpful in immediately offering a substitution. The taste was phenomenal. Our server was so kind Loved this experience!!!

I finally got to try Ellen's Stardust Diner during my November visit and came away so happy. If you love Broadway and wonderful singers, it's a great visit. Coming in around 9AM on a Saturday, there was (what looked to be) a long line on the street. However, it took only about 10-15 minutes to get to the front and get seated (depends on your group size for sure). I got seated near the entrance on the right side and had a pretty good view of the stage - just not super close. Throughout my hour and a half there, I was super entertained by numerous performances nearly every 5 minutes from various servers/singers. Pretty much everyone was great, and they sang show tunes from across the spectrum along with duets - utilizing all the two floors of the diner and various silly props. I loved how they came around with my favorite performance being Part of Your World. There was also no rush in having to leave. I did get an avocado toast and an iced coffee. The avocado toast wasn't the greatest, and my seating area wasn't super clean admittedly. But I personally didn't mind as the performances were so on point. The cost of the food was a little higher than other brunch spots but to me, you're paying for the performance. I also loved hearing more about their scholarship programs and how the purpose of Ellen's Stardust Diner in helping singers get their spot in Broadway. Totally would recommend to any Broadway/singer fans!

Amazing!! Must try when in NYC! We waited in line but it went super fast. The waiters all sing while you are eating. We felt a little rushed inside but other than that I would say definitely visit regardless and the food is like any diner - not fantastic but not bad.

Fun experience while visiting nyc! There was festive decor and the servers perform broadway-esque songs while working. We came by for breakfast on a Wednesday morning and the line was moderately long but we only waited less than 5 minutes as a table upstairs was available. We didn't get the stage view unfortunately, but the servers performed on both floors and there were tv screens of the lower level. The food was nothing special, just pricier American style diner food comparable to Denny's or IHOP. The servers were pretty fast despite it being pretty packed.

Believe the hype when you see a line outside! The entertainment factor alone is worth the somewhat overpriced mediocre food. You are getting professional level performances in an extremely fun energetic environment. If you don't know their format, the waiters are all Broadway performers. They will take turns performing all while trying to be your server. So manage your expectations. Service will be "slow". But you will be entertained. If you were not able to get Broadway tickets to a show, a really great alternative. By the way, my buffalo chicken sandwich was delicious and my Miss Saigon drink was doing the job!
